It would be wrong to take out Child's Wii and Wii Fit to play with for purely practical purposes, wouldn't it?

Yes, it would. It would.

Very wrong.

Play Mario Carts instead.

Well, you need to test it right? To make sure that it will actually play and that nothing messed up, right? *radiates innocence*

See, I'm with everyone on the "You have to make sure it works."

Child would be heart broken to plug it in and have it not work. Or worse, there could be pieces missing? Do you really want to see that?

Though seriously, packaging is important in the fact that, at the very most, you have to make it seem as if it hasn't been opened. It is an art but can be mastered. The most obvious signs are tapeing, it MUST be put back exact and you have to be careful not to tear the box. Some kids are too busy tearing it open to notice but some have an uncanny eye for it.

Hubby's present arrived today, and I fully intend to take the shiny new camera (two models newer than mine!) out and, uh, just make sure it's in working order. Really. *shiftyeyes*
