Sekrit message to loriel_eris....

Oh my God. Are you hitting *every one of them in one day*?

My inbox and I are squeeing. A lot. Thank you.

Just about. I think that might be me now. I started at Five Scenes and that was me, sucked in with no escape. *headdesk* And with the spamming? I have no idea! I usually can't leave one piece of feedback, never mind more than that.

I must have been doing some random surfing, and I ended up your SGA page at your website. And then I noticed that there was Teacher's Pet I hadn't read, and then Stranger 'verse caught me eye. And my productivity promptly went down the drain. So worth it tho. *g*

And I know it shouldn't, but it makes me all happy and gleeful inside when authors respond to feedback. So... *is gleeful*

I'll be answering it all today, but--oh my GOD. THERE ARE ELEVEN HAPPY FEEDBACK IN MY EMAIL. THERE WAS SERIOUS SQUEEING.

...also, this is proof I need a warning on The New Order Sucks to read Stranger first. Order was written--er, before What You Can't Leave Behind but after the others.....

*winces* Oww. I never really thought how brutal that would be when you've *already met alter!John*. Mea culpa. Also ouch. Also--scene four was the hardest. Very much.

*sends delirious hugs* Thank you thank you thank you! That was--IN MY INBOX. PRETTY FEEDBACK! HAPPY!

*glowing*

this is proof I need a warning on The New Order Sucks to read Stranger first. Order was written--er, before What You Can't Leave Behind but after the others.....

See, I'm still torn. My default reaction is to read everything in chronological order, so unless it's specifically stated to read 2, then 1. I'll always start at the beginning of the chronology. In this case New Order then Strangers is confusing, but if you forced me to choose, I'd pick emotional impact plus confused over it making sense. But it is definitely brutal. (In such a good way tho.) I think what the worst bit was, that I was set up to read an AU verse, I was expecting the rest of the series to be John and Rodney, so that was an added unexpectedness.

also--scene four was the hardest. Very much.

I think that Rodney's saving grace is that I was already so much in love with him from scenes 1-3. And I knew that it (John not joining the airforce) turned out ok. But if the 5 scenes had gone chronologically (ie earliest to pre-Rising), I don't think I'd've kept reading. Giving us the Rodney we knew and the John we could easily imagine right at the beginning was the best way of doing it, then working back so we could see how they'd got there. I don't think I could have got to grips with John cheating on (using?) his girlfriend, and then Rodney being like he was in scene 4, but knowing that it turned out right made all the difference.

*sends delirious hugs*

*feels so loved* Also? Grinning like an idiot. I suspect Work thinks I'm deranged. *g*
