Note to altricial - this song also works to express unending rage. All the way home today.

Anyway. *g*

Have put my fantasy list together of everything I shall buy next month, and also, I'm adding a computer, because mine is getting worse. It needs a formatting, but that miraculous lack of a working CD burner is kind of ruining that idea, and I have everything I've ever doen in fandom on this one.

It'll be like the passing of an era. Huh. That's depressing.

Seeing that it is Christmas, I indulged my sudden, completely understandable need to shop off my feelings and bought Child an excessive number of board games for Christmas. Actually, only three, because I was wearing a skirt and the ladder didn't reach up high enough, and customers noticed me dragging the Wal-Mart ladder behind me wherever I went. And it's surprisingly difficult to climb on the handle when your skirt just reaches below your knees. It's not that I worried about flashing people or anything--I had a run in my hose on the upper thigh and I wasn't wearing my best underwear. I have odd shame issues.

If Wal-Mart didn't want me to use the ladder, they shouldn't have left it unattended with the bicycles. So there.

Yeeeah. I also bought hair color and redyed my hair. Brown is apparently not something I should return to, so Very Damn Red it is. It's sparkly. Well, no, but it is very red. I ended up scaring myself by sitting in front of the mirror with scissors, thinking that a chin length bob was the way to go. Keep in mind I have *curly* hair. You can see the nightmare in progress. Beth is one of few who have seen my hair in action, so I can actually *see* her wincing from here. Also, for those of you who have tried this, it's never a good idea to cut your own hair, and I say this having done it more times than I can count.

I deal in really bizarre ways, I know this. When I break up with someone, I dye and cut my hair. When I'm stressed, I abuse allergy meds and cut and dye my hair and start writing excessively.

But enough about me.

Recs

The Cause by juteux. It's--amazing. Justin-y on a mission. A scary, scary mission. I suggest reading immediately for your own health.

Now, change fandoms.

This is actually notes to update my recs page.

This one was one I read off of glass_onion mailing list a long damn time ago--when the list was still active and all.

Blood Speaks by northlight. It's still among my favorite HP stories ever written, and I still re-read it just for the powerful mood the author manages. Not to mention it's just damn good fic all around.

I need more coffee. Hmm. Coffee.

Also, L & O is crack. I've said it before, but I'll say it again. If that show starts while I'm in teh room, I'm doomed and know it. I have yet to physically make myself get up and leave while it is in progress even if I've seen it before. Grrr.

Now. Coffee.

For you? Anything you want. You're so good you make my teeth ache. I'm so going to consider fangirling you.

Brown is apparently not something I should return to, so Very Damn Red it is. It's sparkly. Well, no, but it is very red

Aw. I feel all disappointed now. For a moment, I was thrilled by the idea of red, sparkly hair. *g*

I can always put glitter in.

And you, my dearest, owe me fic.

*smiles serenely*

And you, my dearest, owe me fic.

*looks shifty* I know. (Me and my big mouth. *g*)

Unfortunately, the only characters talking to me today have been Casey and Danny, chattering away. I think it's because Brian knows I have to do this, so he's being difficult. (Yep, it's all Brian's fault. *g*)

But I will deliever... eventually...

Sorry you are stressed, Hon.

I will take a page out of timian's LJ and wish you "a speedy recovery and all the fuck in the world".

I'd love to see the hair - I bet it is wild!

*hugs*

Scary. *g* I'll get pics over Chrsitmas, as soon as my CDRW works. I can't even load my vacaation pictures. Stupid CDRW.

*growls at it* Hatey-hate.

Yay for my fellow redhead!

*hugs you*

*reminds you to add the LU cookies to the big shopping list*

LU cookies?

Shopping. Mmm.

Shopping. *happy sigh*

Oh, I don't think I referred to them by their proper name the other night--LU is the name of the company that makes them in Europe. So these are the highly addictive chocolate cookies with the french names. :D

The top two here are want you want: Yeeeessss. I'm all helpful with the visual aids.

Yes, yes it does. Especially when it is loud enough to scream along so it becomes The Mental Breakdown Song. :))

Did you try their song Tomororw? I accidentlaly downloaded it. I may have to get their album--I can't think of any group that I instantly connected with *two* of their songs so fast. Usually I ahve to be eased into liking more than just one.

But yes. I sat outside during my break and muttered the lyrics to myself. God, I love that song.

You are *so* cool. thanks to that vid, I have New Music.

Have I mentioned you shoudl vid more? REALLY SOON?????

Yes! I can't recommend their album enough, I stole it from my brother today and have been listening to it non-stop, they're amazing. Haha I don't usually do serious vids unless I'm PMSing hard core. I've got a Beauty and the Beast one on the way though!

*adores*

If Wal-Mart didn't want me to use the ladder, they shouldn't have left it unattended with the bicycles. So there.

Heeeheheheee. We'd rather y'all just climb it and get it your own damn selves, anyway. So there.

*grins* No one stopped me. Though I got some werid looks. I felt powerful. And also, weird, lugging the thing around because I was worried an employee woudl get it if I left it alone.

I deal in really bizarre ways, I know this. When I break up with someone, I dye and cut my hair. When I'm stressed, I abuse allergy meds and cut and dye my hair and start writing excessively.

I do the exact same thing!!! You always can tell if I'm in a 'new phase' as my hair will be something like Brilliant Plum...
Also, gotta love those allergy meds.... mmm.. the sleeeeep.

Sending you a *hug*

heeheee! Another Red head and L&O Ho!!

If that show starts while I'm in the room, I'm doomed and know it. I have yet to physically make myself get up and leave while it is in progress even if I've seen it before. Grrr.
Ahhh, so very true. And if I'm channel surfing & stumble upon an episode (and with basic cable- it is on nearly every hour of every day, lol) I'm glued.

And your hair cutting/dyeing story cracked me up- I remember after one particular break-up, I colored my hair dark red, and then called my best guy-friend from High School who I was going to visit for a cheer-me up weekend. I commented to him on the phone that I did 'something' but wanted to surprise him to get an honest reaction. His immediate response was: "What did you do to your hair?? Of course, I couldn't keep a straight face to deny that indeed it was my hair I was talking about, so I told him just that I colored it. His reply Why couldn't you just go shopping or buy a car?
The shopping did come later, lol- but had to point out to him my car at the time was only about 5 months old, so getting a new one would have been frivolous.

I also bought hair color and redyed my hair. Brown is apparently not something I should return to, so Very Damn Red it is. It's sparkly. Well, no, but it is very red.
Heh. Red could definately work for you. Sparkly red would be good too!

Board games huh? Not brave enough for the microscope? *grin* I did some of my Christmas spending as well. There's this television I have my eye on at outpost.com. I may get it. It would be the first television I personally have owned. I found these great lined velour gloves at the mall too. Possibly at Dillards.

If Wal-Mart didn't want me to use the ladder, they shouldn't have left it unattended with the bicycles. So there.
They just assume so many things. Like if they leave ladders laying around, we won't try and use them. It's not like there are signs or anything. Hee. Actually, I think they may have put up signs at Kohls shortly after I availed myself of their ladder. Either that or I just didn't notice the signs beforehand.

Blood speaks is an excellent fic. I read a bunch of Jane St. Claire's Phantom Menace stuff, several fandoms back for me. Very good. Also Swansong, by Saraid.

-Silverkyst

E-mail hates me today...

...so I had to stick the fic in my public journal. Um, yeah. All here: runswithhorses.

I've got red dye in my bathroom cupboard, but haven't yet made up my mind as to when I want to apply it.
There seem to be a lot of grey hairs present that I haven't noticed before, and I'm kind of entranced by them. It's like, ooh, distinguished grey hairs, except that doesn't work so well on women as it does on men.

What kind of board games did you get Child?
