If I find out someone on my friendslist read this and forgot to tell me....

*stops*

Okay, so I've been antisocial in extreme. Sorry. And also, I'm posting a lot today. Yes, I noticed.

Sunset by bluesmoke. She's just wandering around writing fic like this and it's gorgeous.

I could live without the 'taller man' and 'artist' bits, but I'm weird about common noun descriptors and that's just a matter of weird taste. It's lovely and sweet. Read it.

i got recced. *beat later* i got recced by you... who writes such sad Daphne fics that make me cry... *thuds to ground*

i'm not strange. i'm *so* not strange or weird... or fan-girly-- right.

yeah... this is the hardest part about writing slash fics. They're all 'he's' and 'him's'... and so i have to find new ways to distinguish between the two. hmmm... maybe i'll just use names...

I loved that story. All *bouncy* when I saw it. God, LJ makes me happy with all these authors just wandering around free until we catch them...er. I mean, find them. No, really.

*prepares net*

Heh. I remember working on this one forever, after my beta redlined half a story I wrote. I never rephrased so much in my *life*....

I confess that I will stop reading fic over common noun descriptors. I used to love them when I was in high school, and now they give me hives.

*pokes link cautiously*

When used lightly and appropriately, they work Very Well. But yeah, my earlier training in slash was Never Ever Ever Ever, and I have the editing scars to prove it. *g*

I can't believe I used to love them. Now I go back and read old Terry Brooks books and sing "Eeeearrrchhhhh!" and barely resist throwing them out the window of a moving car. "The elf-boy", "the taciturn druid", "the dark sorceror", "the lanky Southerner", "the rakish Highlander"...my God, how did these things pass an editor unscathed?

JOHN SAUL is still published.

Really, I rest my case with that one. I can't remember the other horror author that makes me look at mediocre fanfic like Literary Genius, possibly because I tuned out the horror, but *man*. *shivers*

Dean Koontz bugs me. Not only are the stories simplistic, but they're poorly paced. You have six hundred pages of incredibly complex rising action and...twenty pages of cheesy denouement. *shudder*

THAT is the one.

I just look at the books and lose any and all artistic ability for *days*. Weeks, even.

Well, we can't have that. *takes all Dean Koontz out of your sight* Now go on and make Justin and Brian miserable some more. You know you want to.

It's not like I angst them for my own evil purposes--the STORY requires it. Integrity and all.

Yeah.. THAT is why. Integrity!
